Hello all. This is the futuristic city I have been working on for the past mouth. This project was inspired by a video I watch a couple of weeks before I found out about this competition about some of the buildings people of designed but never built this included the XSEED 4000 which I used as a reference point to build a what if this was built in a modern city in say 2050 or so. I went for a somewhat minimalistic style for my buildings and terrain. I also had help with texturing the buildings from my college James Clark when it came to texturing the city buildings. I started texturing the main building and put temp textures on the city buildings to start prototyping the scene. The kind of cityscape I was going for was something like this. I also did some work in Photoshop to try and come out with a concept for how the final product should look. And then started work on the final building placement with better textures and worked on the animated camera this was the first video of the project and I also worked on my custom skybox. https://youtu.be/7uqszfk6ckYI then started work on improving the textures and lighting as well as improved the skybox I made. https://youtu.be/-uHwSRWmv2gAnd then I finally fixed up a couple of the models and improved the lighting some more as well as adding some more objects like balloons and a flashing light at the top of the building to give a better sense of scale I also added a direct light to the scene to simulate the sun. I also started prototyping clouds but was not able to get it to a state where I was happy and due to time limitaions was not able to improve it so went back to the pre clouds version. But finally here it is the final product https://youtu.be/gHxz4pSsRoA.
