Hi Goat !
Haha I know the struggle about putting details everywhere !
Maybe you should think about how the environment could affect your object. For exemple, the scratches on the plate behind the pipe may look odd, as that part should be protected a bit by this pipe.

Aside from that, it looks great so far

Yes definitely! It's something that bothered me a bit too haha, I'd have liked to go back and change it slightly but by then it's history had be deleted :frowning: I know it's a small thing but it does definitely make a difference. Something to keep in mind for the future I guess! Cheers for the input

Finally got all the wear and scrapes finished over the mech, took a lot longer than I had hoped for! You can probably even see where I transitioned into more focused scratches halfway through haha. Next I'll be baking some maps from these.

Started painting now, the head's going to be laying on the water and so I kind of 'bleached' that area a bit. What's peoples thoughts on the style? I don't want to add a whole lot of detail to the paint, just keep it quite flat and vibrant really.

Awesome work so far!

Thankyou marc!
On our way to finishing the props, I'll post an update for some of Kuno's props when we have them sorted, and then onto putting everything down. Still got vegetation to do which we need to get on asap as time is ticking down now! Here's a finished tent made, setup so that I can use ncloth to drape material over the landscape. Few tweaks still need to made to the cloth modifiers. Some cushions too!

love the textures and the sculpt !

really nice models and render. I am looking forward to seeing your final result.

Progress coming along, mostly assembling everything now, settled on the lighting now with a slight greenish tint. It was also my first time making trees and I found it quite difficult to get a thick canopy which I'd especially want along the cliffline. I was also hoping to fit my end scene into a marmoset viewer file but I may be just slightly over the 20mb budget I'm afraid, I'll either simply have to do a few fly through's or cut a few things out for the viewer file.

Rocks and boulders sculpted by Kuno and textured by me.

Decided that with the extended deadline I'd try importing the scene into unreal engine too. Never really used it before so it's something of a learning experience, I've been meaning to for a while though and it felt like as good an opportunity as ever, been playing around with volumetric fog and the like, the scene's not really optimised for use in unreal due to the way I've imported things and how lightmaps etc function. In future projects I'll be able to keep that in mind more. You definitely have a greater degree of control visually in unreal though and I'm enjoying it so far!

looks good !
I would say I prefer the screenshot from the post before the last one, because the composition is more strong. The last one may have too many focus points

otherwise looks great, the lighting is coming along very nicely I you did a great job with the stylized look !

Thankyou for the input! Yes I see what you mean, it's one of a few shots I've been fiddling with, maybe I was worried that the other shot was a bit squeezed and I wanted something more expansive showing off the world a bit better, but you're right having that strong focus definitely helps a great deal.
