Hi all! This is our final piece for the contest

and a flythrough video

Hi all and thank you for the chance to join this contest! We had a lot of fun and we worked hard on this piece. We are happy with the result and we hope you will like it too.

We are posting some infos about the prodution of the piece.

Our scene is built in Unity. The lighting is in real time, unfortunately we didn't have time to bake all the lights!

Our production pipeline was this:
-concepts and turnaround in Photoshop
-modeling in Maya and Zbrush
-texturing in 3d-Coat and Photoshop
-scene building and lighting in Unity

We used both external assets and buil in Unity features and plugins to improve our workflow for the scene building:
-Octave3D, for prefab placement
-Fog volume 3, to achieve our fog effects
-Terrain composer 2, for the desert shot
-Post Processing Stack, for adding some nice camera effects

We created the shots for the video with Cinemachine, and recorded them with Unity Recorder.

Here is the first concept art for the piece

rough of the buildings, I drew over the concept i did, to study how the city could be built. Now I'm going to study the city from above, and the overall setting.
I'll also make some more drawing of the buildings, and I'll start designing some characters.
The 3D blocking of the scene is on the way!

Hi all!
We did a texture test for the buildings, in 3D coat, and we quickly tried it into Unity, using just one building repeated, to understand how it will look. Now we are going to define all the elements, and start studying props and characters

This is coming along really quickly! I really like it so far

Yeah I love your art style, really clear and clean for concepting as well! This is going to turn out brill!

Thank you all! I tried to keep the concepts as clean as possible, but of course sometimes things have to be made quickly.
Today I thumbnailed a little bit, to help us understand how do we want our composition. Sure, we already started out with a composition we liked, but I felt to explore some other possibilities. Our focal point will be for sure the girl on the vehicle, chased either by the big eyed robot or his swarm of minions.

AWESOME project, guys!
