today's and this weekend work. i worked 3 hours and a quarter on sketchbook this weekend because i had some troubles with trains and i ended up waiting a lot as you can tell. today I watched the first half of the matte painting tutorial and then practiced perspective. I also had some time to practice it today at school and I found It very useful. I also did a character but it was just a doodle to have fun so It is not great design

todays work: I tried to get more used to perspective and to draw without the vanishing points to try to get the line converging even when sketching. I then proceded to learn to draw a body in 2 point perspective. I 'm still loking for feedbacks and/or suggestions on exercise to improve my perspective skills and I'd be grateful if you'd help : )

today I did sketches for a possible landscape. they all took from 10 to 20 minutes but i really need some feedbacks on these because I can see that i really need to get better at them before doing next weeks matte painting. especially I felt like i couldn't understand what to think of while doing them.

I see you practice quiet well on composition, and boy that's pretty good. What I notice in almost all your art have one common thing. It's your further object are more complicate / detail than nearest object.

As nearer the object the detailed the object, so instead draw more detailed thing to your nearest camera.

yesterdays and todays work. i subscribed to artwod and I'm now following the beginner drawing course. Its pretty much all stuff I already covered but i' m getting more solid foundations to build new skills on top

how did you know what to do to make them look wide angled vs long lens, etc

It is because I whatched a lesson on it on artwod. The main difference is in the focal point distance: wide angle lens have close focal points, medium lens converge still but not too much while long lense have almost no convergence.

I recommend Draw a box! it's how i got better at elipsies I found it to be really helpful to go through most if not all of their lessons

Personally I tend to think of the torso as 2 boxes, one for the chest and one for the stomach area and I angle/twist the rectangles accordingly then connect the dots so to speak, like so:

I'm not that good at it yet but it works :3

today's work was really more thinkful so i drew less but thought more. I also reorganized my working day but didn't had much time and therefore couldn't apply it fully. the work is about form and moving form anyway
