PLEASE READ: Hi guys, so I keep messing up the gazebo in the back and NOT ONE person has given me useful feedback as they keep ignoring the issue and say things like "just cover it up". The gazebo top, rings, and ellipses are uneven and I keep messing it up. (Lack of helpful feedback also hasn't helped.) I'm pretty desperate at this point- as I know my skill level isn't on par with the rest of you. I would really appreciate any help with fixing it. Please refrain from saying "just add more detail," because it's not done of course and I want to fix the structure first. Thank you!
Ok, Mr. Momo, here comes the good stuff. Your gazebo is fine, or at least it would be if not for the stairs. The perspective is off because the stairs indicate that the vanishing point is somewhere off the canvas and the gazebo is drawn as if it was right below it. It almost feels like the girl was drawn before the background and then it was filled in. The photo below has the similar angle as your gazebo, see how it looks natural because the stairs reinforce the perspective. So what I'd suggest you do is redraw the stairs, just move 'em slightly so they match the one-point perspective you've already got with gazebo and plan your perspective ahead of time. Also I'd extrude the canvas to the right to improve the composition. You can't go wrong with the rule of thirds. I hope it helps. Cheers.
Thank you!
