For the red shirt, I think the volume at the bottom (right side) doesn't quite match the volume of the body. I also could be wrong xD But it seems a tiny bit too flat ^^

Term 3 - Anatomy - Assignments

ive taken quite a detailed look into anatomy before, but revisiting it and seeing another artists way of simplifying things is always nice
also the names of the muscles are difficult xdd
i did the assignments quite fast and a little sloppy i think, definitely not my 100% effort, sorry bout that : )

hey long time no see haha
tbh im having a bit of a tough time with focus and motivation, could do so much better on the assignments if i really wanted to
i might have in mind how to fix that tho so no worries xd

i did watch the zbrush lessons but ill leave those assignments to someday when i have more time, so jumped straight to term 4 anatomy which lets be honest, i didnt really follow exactly and kinda shortcut the assignment xd
ill fix that with time i promise : )

Term 4 - Light and Colour - Assignments

why is it that always when u decide to take ur stuff together u get hit by the most chaotic week possible that completely ruins ur routine and u end up not getting anything together at all -_-

here are the assignments i finally managed to finish tho ehe

not sure if i even did them right, like am i allowed to change the saturation and value when using a colour palette? xd
i changed them a lot on first two, tried to use the given colours on others

i speedrun these aswell so theyre not 100% accurate but the point is there, im not really sure about the yellowish pyramid but i couldnt figure out any other way either

I love the red and turquoise characterdesign (first and second from top left xD) Also the shading of last shapes look gorgeous

all the color palletes look amazing! my fav ones are the amalogous (red/orange) one and the turquoise one

can't comment on the perspective of the shadow just yet since i have yet to do the hw and need to rewatch/review that part of the vid haha

hey there, happy holidays : )
next up we have animal anatomy and it will take me longer to finish so, i thought id share my progress on drawing portraits, i figured out what i did wrong and found a style im more comfy with, ill try to do like 10 more of these

i moved the paintings a bit to crop the page better, thats why the numbers dont really go right xd

im going to be taking a bigger pause from drawing due to holidays and lack of motivation ig, im really struggling to get myself to sit down and focus so i think i might need a break, even tho it makes me feel a bit guilty xdd

also i havent replied to anyone but thanks for all the comments theyre appreciated <3

Term 5 - Animal/Creature Drawing - Assignments

so i finally finished with these : D

these were really fun honestly

for my fantasy creature i decided to take an animal that i used to draw when i was younger and made it more realistic, i enjoyed this surprisingly lots
this is also first time in like 3 years that ive rendered something big in colour, im happy ive gotten better, one of the biggest reasons for me to start studying art overall was that my colours always used to look ded xd

Term 5 - Character Design - Assignment 1

heey long time again xd

heres my first character design, i reaaaallly enjoyed the process, but it took me a bit too long, mainly cuz i procastinated heh
so i wanna do a male character aswell, but because of the time these are taking me i thought id post them separately
character design really is something that brings ur weak points out TT

ive got lots of things to note, but idk how to make them into a speech so ill add em as a bunch of points xd
* when watching Marcs lesson i already had in mind what kinda character i wanted to draw and what references to use, so the hero shape was rather inspired by the character than the character inspired by the hero shape, thats something i want to do correctly next time
* her face looks a bit odd, i fixed it like 100 times, guess i need more practice drawing from imagination
* i need to study knees frl xd
* the hook is supposed to be a carousel, the one with animals u can ride? im not sure if i did that right tho (triangular hood like the roof, the stripes, the horse belt thingy thats a bit out of place i think, and white/blue/red/gold details)
* i want to try a more painterly style, its what i want to end up with, probs use less layers and play with colour and light more, aswell feel more free with edges, i think i understand light and colour theories well enough now to try it out

thats all i wanted to say myself : D

Sammmeeee lolll i havent started on the hw yet but i'm currently plotbuilding/worldbuilding/character building a large story that i'll be turning into a comic and that i'll be making 6 fully animated trailers with my own music for... and i have 5 main characters, 100's of side characters and i want to draw an artbook that will be paired with the comic when it comes out (wont be out anytime soon as i still have a lot of plotbuilding to do) but one of the things ill be putting in my artbook is character design so im thinking of drawing out all the charcters i already imagined but maybe refining their designs and stuff

your character looks so cool!!! she looks like she could be a pretty badass mc, or an antihero!

Term 5 - Character Design - Assignment 2

i let someone else choose the reference photos for me and they made absolutely no sense, so it was a lot trickier to come up with a character, but thats the point right
i drew almost everything on 1 layer, made the process a lot more fun and free and i got it done a lot faster
rendering faces still needs practice and im not sure about the crystal ball, i couldnt find a good tutorial on how to render glass so i tried to understand how the light works from a picture myself, cant wait to get to the materials lesson : D
also his jacket looks a bit flat, i couldnt figure out how to fix that
