I'm Gee and I've been studying art on my own/taken a couple courses for a couple years now but finally had a chance to join the school, so here I am trying to level up eheheh

TERM 1 lesson 1

assignments

as im not really new to my tablet or art program i didnt try too hard on these, rather did them for fun and out of curiosity
i dont have Photoshop but use Krita instead, found out sum new tips and possibilities the program has that ive never thought of using ahaha

the last exercise had me taking waaaay too many double takes

i was really strugglin with sum of these can u tell xd

was lazy w these heheh

Term 1 - Nude Figure Drawing - Assignments

here are the assignments i did for the second lesson of term 1

drawing the ribcage and pelvis circles had me struggling frl TT

ive never really thought about ideal proportions before, was fun
also i spent too much time on drawing the male istg

was my first time trying to measure, failed but it looks kinda cool ahahah (red lines are traced off the model)

Term 1 - Perspective - Assignments

ive studied perspective before but dont enjoy drawing using it tbh, really slacked on the street corner one but it was more fun this way TT

this is my room (changed a couple things cuz im lazy xd), sadly the dead plants are the most accurate TT
also the clock and lamp seem off cuz i used perspective transfom tool and it just didnt seem to do its job

Term 2 - Digital Prod - Assignments

i did the assignments that i could figure out how to do in krita (didnt do pen tool and smart object assignments)
as im not new to using a digital painting program, i have already tested different brushes and found one that i really like, so i used that one for all the shading and gradients
making the chain brush was a struggle but i got it to somewhat work

Term 2 - Anatomy - Assignments

had a really busy week, finally got the sheet filled up

ive done the head exercises multiple times before but have never tried drawing a realistic portrait aaaand i think i need to start doing those...
didnt use a reference and, i mean, it looks like a head, an ugly one but xd

also drew and shaded a stylised portrait (portraits just aint my thing, reference from pinterest and kinda speedran TT) and it just didnt work, i think i need to fix my way of drawing faces, cant change the proportions so much, it looks fine in lineart but shaded uuf

shading more complex shapes is a problem aswell, i can focus on the shadowshapes but lose it when doing halftones and just wing it xd

The features alone definitely look great! Shading the head is definitely a big jump in difficulty up from shading individual shapes, you did a nice job! Definitely check out the asaro head for more information about the different face planes and it will get easier over time. Shading a face is definitely super hard. Good work!

Term 2 - Perspective - Assignments

perspective is noooooott my thing, but i managed xd
i spent time on the first assignment, kinda winged the other 2 TT
i also changed them a bit and instead of creating 3 different buildings/sceneries i just did them all about a single, uh, lighthouse, tbh i started with a gateway to heaven but welp
hope thats fine xd

Term 3 - Clothed figure - Assignments

heeeeey i had holidays so a big pause in drawing and finishing these took longer than it should have xd
i should be able to put extra time into drawing from now on tho

enjoyed drawing these a lot, surprised myself a bit too : )

drawing clothes from imagination sure is tricky, i struggle with focusing a bit so i often forgot to actually think and got lazy with the folds, oops iguess xd
