I do the same. It's really hard to keep the same energy and flair from the sketch. I need to find a new workflow in that aspect. Nowadays I try to get the face good before moving on. So before rendering the body and other things I figure out the face.

Yeah I always get hung up on the face and it changes so drastically and usually to the worse that why I love knkl’s work he always keeps the essence of the sketch and rarely changes it, I like his workflow since the bulk of the work is in the sketch and setting stuff up but I tend to change everything once I look at other peoples work 🥲
