It's looking nice so far! And I'm not sure if you're palnning to keep it like that, but I think I do like the picture a bit more like it is now than when it was flipped in the other direction.
oh the flipping is just a way to refresh your eyes because looking at an image you are doing for a long time makes it harder for you to see your mistakes. It just refreshes your eyes its really good to deal with faces. you might be drawing a face and you really like what you got but then once you flip it you realize alot of the proportions are off
