The Nutcracker (2020)

Once a prince, he was turned into a toy nutcracker by the Rat King. Later he got injured by Fritz, breaking his toy jaw. After a heated battle against the Rat King, he ultimately regained contorl of his kingdom and turned back into his human form... although some injuries didn't go away in the process.
.
Third Christmas piece for this season (2020). I wanted the Nutcracker to be darker as well while avoiding the way-too-monster-like look.

Clara Stahlbaum (2020)

The little Clara received a beautiful nutcracker as a Christmas present. Later that very night, she found herself in a dramatic and magical adventure, in the middle of a battle for a kingdom, and traveled to a land of sweets... or did she? Perhaps it was all the fantasies of a poor delusional girl and her severe condition.
.
Fourth and last piece for the 2020 Christmas season. It was slightly hard to land on a darker take but ultimately decided for a mental angle. Plus, the other characters from this season make a small cameo in this illustration.

WandaVision ❤️ (2021)

I really loved Wandavision so much that I had to paint something about it.
How was House of M adapted as sitcoms, the attention to detail in replicating each era through costume, set design, camera work, acting and gestures, her griefing proccess and of course her final look are all things I absolutely loved, and I couldn't get enough of it

ArtWar V | Cuāuhpilli (2021)

The cuāuhpilli was entrusted by Huitzilopochtli, major deity for the Aztecs, as guardian of the Texcoco Lake, sacred place once chosen by the god himself as the grounds for the now fallen city of Tenochtitlan.
This fearsome warrior was brought back from the dead thanks to Huitzilopochtli’s flame as a divine gift, as it grants unprecedented power and life energy to the bearer. But with the stench of death, the cuāuhpilli embraced the curse that came with his divine task, for he is to guard the lake even past the fall and demise of the city he once was resurrected to protect.

This was my entry for the ArtWar V contest. I wanted to share this here as well, just to have all my artwork together hehe

Charon (2021)

Charon was a well-known entity in greek mythology, responsible for ferrying deceased souls across the river Styx and into the underworld. The deceased must pay the ferryman's fee of a single obol for them to be carried by Charon; otherwise they would have to wander the banks of the Styx for 100 years. Charon was not one to judge the souls he transported, as long as they could pay the fee he would ferry them into their eternal rest.

Nyx (2021)

The very embodiment of the night, Nyx was a primordial goddess in Greek mythology who emerged at the dawn of creation. Her veil of dark mist drawn across the skies to obscure the light, thus bringing night upon the mortals. Nyx had this peaceful yet somber feel to her, as the darkness of the night is reminiscent of the darkest moments of our lives.

The Erinyes (2021)

Also known as the Furies, these vengeful spirits brought curses and torment to those mortals who committed crimes against the natural order or didn't keep an oath. The sisters, Alecto, Megaera, and Tisiphone, were particularly concerned with homicide, unethical conduct, offenses against the gods, and perjury. These foul creatures were servants to Hades and Persephone, who entrusted them as well with the punishment of the souls trapped in the Dungeon of the Damned.

Hypnos and Thanatos

Hypnos, the personification of sleep, was a primordial god who could allow mortals to forget all of their worldly worries by putting them to sleep while enabling them to have pleasant dreams. His twin brother Thanatos, the very incarnation of peaceful death, would come to collect and make sure the souls of the deceased were safely transported to the Underworld. The twins lived in a secluded cave palace where the River Lethe was said to flow across.
