Hi to anyone stumbling onto this, this is my first ever art blog!
My first steps and beyond into art, illustrations, design and anything creative will be documented here and hopefully I can grow fast through this community. Comments and critiques are very much welcome.

So I came across FZD channel on YouTube about sketching. He broke down subjects that were more forgiving for beginners to sketch to build confidence and rocks was one of them. This took so long to do. Hopefully speed comes with more mileage.

More rock studies. This took longer than the previous study but getting the hang of it. Been practicing how to break down complex shapes into manageable primitives and how to look and disregard stuff that I do not need. Inspired by Franklin Booth's cross hatching among other artists.

Got tired of rock formations and thought I try something organic and maybe add some values to my sketches.

Still trying to control my coordination with my hand and the wacom. Really helps to draw the wireframe of the forms.

Those are all really nice sketches. I remember that Feng Zhu video and I still use that idea of doing rocks or trees when I feel like I don't know what to draw. So far your doing really good. I look forward to see more 👍

Another Tree Root study. Getting the hang of organic shapes in some sort of perspective. Will need to practice a lot more to get it to be second nature.

Also running away from the anxiety and fear of a dental surgery that's coming up on Wednesday by feverishly sketching does have its perks in getting the mileage in.

Been away for so long because I have been on crunch since August of last year. Finally back to just practicing forms and breaking down shapes. I am definitely aiming to finish the term and move on to the rest of the other terms.

Decided to do a breakdown study of animal skeletons. Here is a Bobcat.

Learning about value structure. Decided to use one value structure of a reference to create a few thumbmnails of my own. Pushing hard to the next milestone!

ur doing a great job so far ... experience comes with training as u surely heard before, but it´s clear to see that u done a good amount of drawing before ... handling the graphic tablet is kinda strange the first time u try, but u allready got a solid lineart here ... keep up the good work

I am really proud of the 2 point perspective assignment I did for Term 1 so I thought I should post it here as a reminder that I did progress a little........ finally.
