I'm using a bit more free time lately to deal with some delayed assignments from week 2 and 3.
I haven't put a lot of effort to them and turns out I remembered about 40% of how those should be done, but my previous PS knowledge happen to be a bit useful (still cannot figure out how to use masks, it's a dark magic for me).
So here's the apples one - pretty simple and straightforward:
Next - liquify tool - as I'm using it on a daily basis it was the quickest assignment ever
And for the next overdue - healing tools. I had no idea what I was doing here and had a feeling that it didn't work as it supposed to but there's some effect and I even quite like it. Especially the beard-ish thing and some gray hair I managed to do ^^
I also checked the proportion exercise again and it turns out that I did the wrong measurement last time - I assumed that the squares (head sizes) for both characters are even, but turns out the male squares are a bit wider than they are high. I don't know if that was something that wasn't mentioned in the video or I just missed this information, but when I used the prepared canvas with measurements, it starts to make a lot more sense:
No more skinny boy . it looks much better now. And it's definitely not about me not being able to divide to thirds properly, haha (well, that too, but not as much as I was afraid of).
I also made a 10 exercises sheet and I spend some time to do each one of those, at least for a bit (I'm doing gesture drawing separately, and traditionally for now, but I think I'll be switching to digital with it too sometime soon.
Onward to the next weeks of practice. I plan to watch a perspective video within next couple days, so I'll add some more exercises to my daily plan :P. I hope I won't overwhelm myself with it, but it's been a while since I had so much fun while going with any course ^^.
So I'm hyped.
