And as a small treat of today - I've challenged myself with making a portrait study assignment but this time with shading.
And, honestly... I didn't expect THAT... O.O

I was always afraid of shading / rendering, especially in digital, because I never could find a way to make it not look like plastic. Here, I think I could only add some texture to the skin to make it look more awesome, but even without it, it looks surprisingly good, I was in awe.
All was made by using only two brushes: my personal inking brush for for initial sketch and Marc's Legendary cubebrush. I couldn't believe that I only had to change between size and turn the shape dynamics on and off to achieve this.
Also - in less than 1,5 hour.
Yes, the visible brush strokes are on purpose, because this has always been my favorite way of rendering I've seen from other artists.
Fortunately, I got this recorded, so I'll be doing a timelapse from it someday :D.
