One last thing, Not sure if you guys have ever heard of INKTOBER, which is basically ink drawings every day of October. (so 31 drawings) You can draw whatever you want or you can use one of the promts from the official list which is realsed in september (I have it early from mail.

So basically that's another of my september goals, Prepare all the sketches from each drawing so when october comes I can just start Inking digitally. If you guys are joining this challenge that would be cool. Idk if there's like a "Art school inktober" version of the challenge, that would be interesting too.

I'm already working on some of the sketches. Here's a few in case you are interested. (ALL WORK IN PROGRESS)

September and October are gonna be my most challenging and productive months so far. Hopefully I don't die.

Bruh that is such a good idea! I've started inktober but never rly finished it before lol.

Made an animation for it once hitting all the prompts in one pic - it was a super meh animation tho LOL

Nice work as usual man! Always fascinating to look through your work, even as sketches!

Me personally, I love anatomy! but it is a difficult topic with different levels of detail possible. That's kind of what makes it so interesting to me though.

I would love to participate in inktober! Haven't really done it so far, but I'm to try different things. Only problem is I don't really use twitter (or X, whatever it's still called), so not sure how I would publish it. Maybe just in instagram? but tags don't really work on instagram.

I do have a twitter account, so maybe I'll just revive it and start using it more.

I have never used twitter either, Just instagram. I can assure you the hashtags definitely do work on instagram, you just have to know which ones to use, I usually just use a few that always work for me. I have been doing it since 2018 so I know.

I would even argue that Inktober is more common on IG, and more easy to discover other artist. I actually made a lot of new friends all over the world because of it.

Sounds like a plan! I've been itching to try some inking (digital) excercices so might as well see how it works! I'll be sure to try it, looking forward to what you do as well!

I feel like this was going in a great direction, but felt overwhelmed when trying to draw the shadows in the clothes and the result is very messy. But I did felt more comfortable drawing the pose, Maybe If I knew how to properly draw the body it would have been better

I hear ya, robes in particular are... a challenge... it still turned out really good though. The runes are a nice touch.

The left arm folds are a bit hard to follow though, but that's about it. All good practice in a day's work.

Yeah...I think my mistake was to try a different pose (which is fine) but then try to draw the same folds as the one from the reference. I didn't even noticed I did that until now. I've been drawing without thinking a lot lately and it's so annoying. 80% of the reason why I don't learn too fast is because of that.

I think the brush might be making robes difficult as well. There are so many subtle gradations in fabric that are hard to render with just 100% black. Still looks good though.

Sketching for Inktober. This one is for day 7: "map"...or rather M.A.P. (Mind Augmentation Prototype)

Still not sure how I'm going to ink this, but it's definitely gonna end up looking like the blue sketch.

Haha nice, I see all you guys preparing all these sketches and here i'm just practicing digital ink... well.. to be fair I won't be going full on this year, just trying to get my feet wet.

It looks digital though, you going digital for ink too? or planning to print and ink it physical?

Definitely digital ink. I actually haven't done anythign traditional in years, and I have a ton of unfinished skechbooks, pens, watercolors etc that I didn't use anymore, So I'm definitely not gonna spend more money on stuff that im only gonna use for a while. Besides I'm already paying for my clip studio licence, I wanna get used to draw digitally. I feel like digital gives me a lot more freedom to experiment without feeling like I'm wasting paper.

I still sketch traditionally with ballpoint pens tho.

Yea agreed on all points. I was under the impression you where going physical for inktober. Not sure why though.

Nice sketches. I think for drawing the shadows for folds, you should use the lasso tool.
