Hey guys! I am Militsa, 22 years old and I am majoring in Graphic Design but my dream is to design characters and work as a concept artist. Here I am going to showcase sketches, studies, finished projects, basically everything that I work on. For the past 2 years I had some mental barriers and was afraid to step out of my comfort zone and I was only drawing portraits of girls for the longest time. I was afraid to draw males, to learn full body anatomy, to design a creature, weapon, even to design a character! I finally overcame my fears and decided to start working on my anatomy and character designing skills. I know I am still at the beginning and I have tons to learn, but here is the best of my work so far. Expect more very soon and it will mean the world to me to gather some feedback and opinions!
Wow. Your work is beautiful. Especially your portraits.
Hi Militsa! Welcome to Cubebrush! What a wonderful way to start your art blog. Your work is already looking quite nice, so it will be really interesting to see your progress
Thank you so much!!!
Hello! Thank you so much for the kind words!
Those are some really cool and expressive pieces, amazing work!
You're welcome.
Hello and thank you so much! I am glad you like them.
Some anatomy studies from today I am kinda struggling to get the torso right each time I don`t know why
These are pretty good so far. I guess you study on the torsos if it's a problem for you.
Some stylized male figure practices! Still learning the muscles and anatomy
New female studies
Very nice! I really like the sharp and a bit blocky look that those studies have. It's a cool style ๐
Thank you so much!!! I am trying to make the sillhouettes dynamic and visually engaging and I have found that implementing sharp edges and points work great for that!
New portrait!
And here is a guy this time! I still struggle with drawing males sooo much, but I think I am slowly getting the hang of it..
Daily portrait for today!
Another daily face practice.
These are pretty good. I think you just need to work on the line work and the rendering.
Thank you!! Yes, totally. =)With each portrait I am experimenting and trying diff techniques and I am still wandering throughout the process.
