The head is very difficult to learn. In my opinion its been the most difficult thing for me by far. But keep at it, it will get better. I read in a book that drawing the head is one of the most difficult but most important things you can learn. Keep at it! Good practice.
You think so? I don't know enough to comment about difficulty, but by far I prefer practicing head to figure drawing

I got challenged by someone so I did this:
The challenge took too long so I just spent another 20 mins just have fun and explore a bit with applying Loomis to real head, I didn't mean to draw portrait (it bad though I know I was just bored really, pls don't judge too hard):
