Hello everyone!
Here are some of the exercises I started with the assignments in term one. I just got a Huion Kamvas 22 and I'm using Krita for the lessons. I like Krita so far, though it does crash every now and then with my pen not working. I think that is because the model is not support directly.

The image adjustments are fun. I really had a hard time with the last one. I don't know what to do to get the image right, so any advise on that is more than welcomed. The fruit is another one that got me. I was off just a bit on the B&W. I feel like my shadow is more yellow than blue if that makes sense. It's just the way I see it. Once I watch more videos and read some books I'll upload some gesture and anatomy practice.

welcome @jameelacosta the colors are really good.

regarding the last image adjustment - you have to just use a combination of the tools you used previously to achieve the same result (not sure if they change for krita). take it one step at a time. focus on getting one thing right before moving onto the next. hope this helps

Hi and welcome
As @HANDRO mentioned you need to use all 3 tools. One tip though, you have 1 try per tool... you won't get any good results when trying to "return" to a tool afterwards

Thanks for the helpful hints. I'll have to go back this weekend and try to correct the image. I'm working on the skeleton poses now and have some done. I did do a few that were a bit foreshortened. Those were fun. I'm editing them now onto one sheet so they can fit in one post. @Julia_J @HANDRO

I was working on a torso study and trying out the brushes in Krita. Here is what I did. I know the head is a bit small on the torso. If anyone has some tips on how to paint in Krita, that would be awesome! I want to learn how to digital watercolor, but baby steps I guess. I am open to suggestions and critiques on anything as well.

Here is a study I did using what we learned in term one videos. I did the "bones", muscle shapes, outline, and fatty areas. I'm sure much can be corrected, so if anyone has a critique I'm open. I'm referencing from different materials, so it was kinda hard trying to figure the arms and forearms out. In the end I decided to group it into a large mass until I can get a better understand of it. I am not sure how the fatty breast tissue works in placement or how it should connect with the body. Getting to know the armpit area was hard too. If someone has an image that shows muscle shapes simplified that be great.

Oh SWEET! That is really going to help me with knowing how to draw the muscles and...boobs...I was wondering how the fatty tissue works with the breast and that really does help. Thanks a lot! @dangras-almeida
