With art sometimes I try to run before I can walk and I have to remember to learn fundamentals before I can do the things I find super fun. Properly doing each of Marc’s assignments and I am definitely feeling a lot more confident, by the end of the year I will be so much better. Some poses are easier to do than others. More of my art journey is documented on my insta: xaorose

Wow these are amazing Jasmine. You have a ton of skills already I cant wait to see your progress! Ill be following on insta!

Drawing these proportions was quite a nice exercise I need to remember these proportions for when I’m drawing other poses as limbs tend to be shorter than the other. First attempt was on the left and on the right is a more defined sketch.

Using the measurement technique marc suggested I found it quite helpful also drawing lines across where each body part should start and end is super handy.

I can honestly say quick gesture drawing makes me want to quit drawing forever, I know overtime I’ll get better but as my skills are not strong drawing quickly is so difficult I need time to fix my mistakes and understand where I’m going wrong as opposed to worrying about how much time I have left go finish a drawing. For some reason my mind can’t grasp the concept of doing something quickly lol.
