For this week. Been struggling to stay motivated but still managing to do a few studies at least.

Understanding landscapes by simplifying the shapes within them so they are less confusing and I can have a more stylistic look

Starting to practice drawing gold and adding special effects in the same style of league of legends to my paintings now. Want to really work on stylising and costume design in styles that would match certain games

Foot, hand and random eye studies. I have been spending a lot of time on painting recently so it's always nice to go back to using lines. Fundamentals are very important so I'm pushing myself to draw in different perspectives than I usually would and not just common poses.

I think my art block is slowly fading so I will be able to create more

Jasmine I think these are my favorite that I have seen from you yet. These studies are so solid! And I love this lightning character, and this environment is really stunning. Your progress is impressive! Keep it up!

@lockenheim Thank you so so much! recently it has been a struggle to stay motivated and now I am moving onto environments I feel so out of my depth, but remembering my progress with drawing/painting people is motivating me

(Some gesture drawings, pose studies and doodles of objects around me whilst I was at the airport - drawing things whilst out is really good practice)
I recently attended an art event in Portugal and realised how low my skills are I was able to get 3 portfolio reviews from professionals and other artists. Also met some artists who work in studios I hope to work in someday. A few of the critiques were to focus on fundamentals, learn and convey textures well and decide which studios I want to work in and cater my art towards their art style.

I was a little sad at first realising how behind I am but now I am motivated to improve so the people I met can see my progress next year when I re-attend the event and hopefully get some job interviews.

Practicing different body types, trying to do gesture and pose studies everyday to improve fundamentals as well as drawing clothes. Drawing more challenging positions helps me realise I’m more comfortable with standard poses

The way you use your strokes and values make these studies already look illustrative kinda. A really great style ^.^

Same goes for the objects you drew, like the exit sign.
I am pretty sure you'll blow them away next year ;}

May I ask which event you went to?

@prinzmoana Thank you so much! One artist that worked for Pixar mentioned not using straight lines when drawing drawing characters so I’m trying to implement that. The event is called Trojan horse was a unicorn (THU) usually hosted in Portugal sometimes in Malta, it’s a really good event.

Sounds like a great event! Even though it sounds like it was hard it seems like you learned quite a bit! One thing that always stuck out to me from Marcs streams was when he said the only difference between the professional artists and everyone else is that they are the ones that didnt quit. Keep on keeping on and you will get there! I think you are doing great and look forward to seeing more!

Participating in the 100 heads challenge by Ahmed aldoori This is such a good challenge as it really pushes you to draw different types of faces, I. Trying to improve rendering, values and lines with this challenge

3 days left to do 100 heads. This is helping with confidence of just diving right in and drawing as opposed to normally overthinking. Though I never wanna draw another head again LOL. enjoying drawing different faces with different accessories
