I want to have a solid understanding of anatomy. I will commit to a daily gesture drawing session as a base. On top of that, I will commit to a weekly rotation of:
01 - daily figure drawing session ( basic skeletons over top of references for now )
02 - daily proportion session ( both male and female )
03 - daily full figure session ( from reference, as best as I can )
For 02, I feel I may get the hang of it within a week. When I get to the point where I can draw both female and male proportions ( given the standard measuring boxes Marc has for T1 ) from memory without the reference, then I can simply continue that as a daily practice in the background and just commit to 01 and 03 until I can easily do those from memory. Then rinse and repeat with new tasks and goals.
And of course, there are all of the muscle groups and countless hours I need to put in to draw human anatomy properly. When I can simplify the human form into cylinders and spheres at any angle, then once I learn anatomy properly I can add that on top from memory. But who knows when I will get there.
This time I am going to simply be present, live in this moment right now, and focus on what is right in front of me. Break everything down into small tasks for day-to-day practice, learning, and refinement. Be relentless with a positive attitude, constantly open to learning from each and every mistake. If other people have become AAA concept artists, then there is no reason or excuse why I cannot join them myself.
See you around on the journey.
