I have been going through some things, and I feel my best bet is to re-direct my fundamental art practice moving forward ( again, constant and consistent growth and change is the way to go for me, I want to keep going, learning, and improving ). I'll continue with my gesture drawing and want to try a whole bunch of things!
This could include: figure drawing ( a long timeframe for detailed studies ), art studies ( it's been too long since I was doing these, for real!! ), material studies ( to observe materials and learn from them over time ), and other things

I kept the warm-up portion more loose this time and it felt more fun. I can focus on the overall linework for the largest forms I can see, and not worry about the details.

This was a quick 30-minute art study of this forest scene to experiment with a new brush I am just now trying out. I may try out having longer sessions so I may get more out of each study with slow, patient progress over time.
