Here is what ive been working on today. Go easy on me! My first time doing this, but I would love some feedback.

For the first time i would say those look great tho
Once you do those enough times and start of being more aware of vanishing lines and all of that perspective shenanigans, things start to click.
One thing i will say is to watch out for the line quality, the sooner you create a habit of make them "clean" the easier will be for you on the future. The basic gist of it is to use the entire arm, big/long strokes and a bunch of Ctrl + Z when you mess them up, Marc's has some tips on his youtube channel for this.

But hey, you're on the right track, great work overall!

I don't have much to say since I'm also pretty new (we're basically classmates)

For the gesture drawing that scares you, you can practice directly on your reference pictures as a warm up for the nude figure drawing assignment. It helped me at least !

Thank you for the tip! I really wish I had some kind of tablet stand like Marc does that allows me to use my whole arm better. Right now it just lays flat on my desk. Hopefully my line quality will improve with time. Its hard!

My first time trying some freehand gesture practice. Turned out a little rough. Id appreciate some feedback!

Good stuff! Not much of a tip but i will share a resource that helped me to approach gesture drawing. I actually just post it on @garrok.dev tread, but i think it will be helpful for you as well.

I tried again after watching those videos. Im not sure the quality is much better, but i was much faster at producing what i think is the same quality.

Another extended practice. Im trying to use faster strokes and put more weight on the pen instead of my hand, which I think im supposed to do. Can anyone confirm if thats kind of the goal? This brought my line quality down, but I think I just need to get used to a new technique.
