Hi there! Recently I started studying environment concept art so here I'll post any personal projects, sketches and photo studies I do.

This is the progress so far. These are posted in chronological order in which they were made As you can see, I got a bit too ambitious right from the start, resulting in a sub-par image. So I decided to take a step back.

Here's a photo study i did recently, thought of doing all the small details like rocks and such but i gave up on it as my main focus were primarily the colors and I'm quite satisfied with those.

Another environment I did. This time the theme was a mountain path with tribal elements around it so I decided to add a cave where someone lives along the main road. Also thought of playing with different times of day through simple curve changes and painting over where necessary.

These are the thumbnail sketches for the Mountain pass. They're probably a bit too detailed for what should be just exploring ideas.

Thumbnails for my next personal. Still not there, I plan on doing a few more pages. My inspirations are desert landscapes and Middle eastern architecture (namely mosques). Wanted to make it otherworldly so I took some images of mushrooms and tried to combine those 3 things. I'm also experimenting with shapes so it's give or take with these concepts, idk what'll make it to the final yet

More thumbnails...I've already chosen what i'll go with and next is making a simple 3d model of the scene in blender to have the perspective and lighting sorted out after which ill bring it back to PS

Ok, just a small update, I've been procrastinating these past few days so this one is still unfinished. I find myself struggling with painting the temple, I kinda want to paint it all by hand but it's kinda daunting with all the detail that i want to put into it, that I get the idea to add photo textures and bash the design of the thing. But then again the thought of that makes it seem like a waste of time that I could spend drawing and rendering. Hopefully I finish this one in the next few days so I can move on to the next project.

The concept is definitely otherworldly. I hope you take the time to render it by hand, I think it would be worth it in the end!

It's been a while since I posted, I've been very lazy but here's progress. I'm pretty much 95% done with this one. Idk if I should add more elements to the foreground, like debris or something like that. I even thought of adding people but I think that would break the composition as it is now. Also the sky feels empty and I was considering adding some clouds. I'll finish this one tomorrow and move on to the next project.

Attempt at a futuristic interior.. Will try more for sure
