Hi everyone!

My name is Kshitij (KC is my nickname) and I just got into Marc's Art Program. I've been an avid artist since my school days and have been painting and sketching as a traditional artists till my college days. Unfortunately after college work took up most of my time and had to leave art for a couple of years. I'm excited to get back and transition from traditional art to digital.

I'm really looking forward in learning new skills and getting to know and learn with other peers. I've been keen on pursuing concept art especially environment design and world building.

Goals -

  1. Improving my fundamentals.
  2. Implement concept ideas in a professional way.
  3. Expressing ideas through art for Indie games or own projects.

Socials -

PS - Before getting into art school, I had been doing a few practice sketches and paintings by going through Youtube tutorials and browsing other guides on concept art for the past few months.

Hi so I started off with term 1 and did the initial 3 assignments

  1. Pen Control was fun and as a traditional artists I'm still getting used to hold a pen and draw using a tablet. I'm practicing moving my elbows more than depend on my wrist for more fluid lines. Although I am having troubles keeping my hands steady while tracing the circles.

  2. Image adjustments took a while for me, certain colours in the circle are slightly off but getting closer in matching the colours. The last image was a tough cookie. I ended up selecting certain areas in the composition separately using the lasso tool and then edited the colours using the tools mentioned.

  3. I will confess I got a bit confused in the 3rd assignment, since the images I got were already composed together I ended up taking a few pics from the web and started editing them in the main composition. Not sure if I messed up the assignment.

Please do feel free in giving feedback!

Some of Nude figure drawings from term 1. I forgot to post these yesterday as I got preoccupied with work. Still in the process of registering certain parts of the body, the structure and joints. I noticed that restructuring the human body parts in compartments like cylinders took me longer compared to structuring them in simple boxes to get the basic layout. Would appreciate feedback!

Hi, welcome aboard!

Not sure if I can give you feedback on the figure drawings as they look pretty clean to me. Maybe there's a couple of odd cylinders where it's not clear their position due to both bases being drawn and colored, but I think you did a great job overall. Keep in mind that I'm still battling with this particular exercise, so take my feedback with a grain of salt!

Thanks for the feedback, I honestly struggle with anatomy drawings but I guess with daily practice I'll improve. Yes some cylinders seem to be more vague, I'll do these tasks daily till I start remembering the basic foundations.

Time for me to register the female and male anatomy. Here is my first attempt in sketching the skeleton frames. The sketch is a bit rough. One I remember the body structure I'll get to refining them further. Feedback is welcomed!

hi hiii! Welcome to the forums!
Anatomy takes time and patience, keep your head up :^)

I'd say the only thing I'd have to say is that your necks are just a smidgeeee too short, the Fem drawing more so than the male. Necks are a very easy thing to overlook, I found myself often overlooking them when I was on these exercises. x_x
Keep up the good work! :3
