I like where you're going with this scene!

I think you simply need to add more elements to help increase the depth and add more interest at the same time. Like a few more animals, maybe some trees or a mountain range in the far background, possibly even something in the immediate foreground. You could also push the atmospheric perspective and make the grass far away blend with the sky color even more.

I did a quick paintover of what it could look like. Hopefully it will give you some ideas as I'm sure you can turn this into a beautiful piece

@cedricgo Thanks for the feedback! I've changed it a bit but haven't uploaded it anywhere yet. I will leave the boring grassland as it is as it shows how boring Dutch landscape is.

Here a few photos of my last prototype before I start making Aloy's leather jacket from Horizon Zero Dawn. The deadline is in September!
The final product will be sewn with a machine.

Gave it a longer snout, fixed anatomy and tried adding textures which didn't go well. The last picture (without textures) is the correct version.

Mist particle in Unity. Made it from a handpainted sheet of 3x5. I don't have a picture of the stars and blue purple clouds. Maybe later when I've finished the snow.

A sword based on Marc Brunet's Blood Sword illustration. I liked the
material of the blade and the golden star shape a lot. The cracks were
black at first which made it look cool, but I decided to go for nothing
magical. Now it's closer to the original concept and the pattern looks
more like veins or cracks inside the blade.

I like this one. Creates questions that need answering. Why is he in the desert? What is there that made him lose his arm? Why is there a barren wasteland in this technically advanced world?

A concept piece that creates questions is a concept piece well done.
