This time I wanted to try environmental for this eggercise and anatomy.

I wanted to also do some prop sketching so here's a sea clam coin pouch~

For this eggercise, I tried something different after I watched a video from Bobby Chiu. I didn't put my reference next to my painting, I used mainly the soft brush, instead of a time limit I tried to take it to the finish as best as I could. (which came little less than 5 hours). The results came out to be fairly interesting.

I wanted to trying painting to start the clothed figure assignment. I might take a step back to understand more of the folds because I only saw shapes and painted it in.

These studies are great! colors are so smooth, folds very clear. It's all really good. Seems we're also going through the same term 3 excercices

It's both challenging and fun! (more of the former for me) I'm currently in a state where my methods seem like they make sense but the results aren't coming out what I had expected. I can't seem to get an understanding on folds. So, I plan not take a step back and maybe watch some vids on them.

It's a great class! I've avoided clothes for sometime now. But this class helped me get my foot in the water

Man all those cloth excercices look amazing! i'm struggling with fold shadowing myself, so seeing such clean work is really impressive!
How far are you into Term 3? I'm getting close to the final excercices, but I think I'll have to go back to practice a bit more before I call it done.

Donut

My posting on the forums is starting to shift away from the usual marc videos and may cause time between posts once more. I wanted to try other courses that I am interested in and see what I can produce for the upcoming lightbox expo
