Happy new year, everyone!
December's been hectic, but I got back to work as soon as I could this year.
First of all, this is the kind of warm-ups I usually do before I work. What kind of warm-ups work best for you?

Next, I've continued doing cylinder structure practice, using photo reference.

Perspective's always been a struggle for me, so it took copying Marc's demo to understand how to construct a room in perspective. After that, I tried doing one myself, based on the room I share with my older sister.

I'll keep working hard!

I also did a drawing the other day to practice rendering, something I'm not very good at. I usually rely on line-art.

I found a book on interior design that's been around my house for years and wasn't much use, but it's very useful now because it has a lot of nice reference images in 1 and 2-point perspective.
I think I'm getting the hang of 1-point perspective now! It might not seem like much, but it feels like a triumph since perspective's been really difficult for me for so long.

Okay...first things first, I'm sorry this page kind of died.
I was busy with work and I genuinely didn't have time for a while to keep working on Art School. I just recently started up again.

So, updates:

I didn't do much for the anatomy and perspective assignments from Term 2. I did practice drawing separate facial features, but perspective is still something that I struggle with, so I usually use a grid tool when I make art. It doesn't help that I'm not good at background art and design to begin with. If anyone has any tips on how to do this assignment I would really appreciate it.

I started Term 2, with Clothing Folds. This was fun.

Next I practiced rendering clothes. It was a good chance to practice my rendering, which is a weak point for me, so it was a lot of fun.

Then I did the dressing assignment. I'm currently working on another page like this. The hard part is finding nude models to draw on! Does anyone know where I can find downloadable resources for that?
