Did you have the videos in term 8?
I started with using one color for the big shapes (mountain, sand, tree, ocean, sky). After I got the shapes done I focused on the main shadows, and from there I started the textures and smaller details. It's all about identifying major shapes then adding big details and progressing to the smaller details.

Here's the fully rendered character/costume design. There are parts I like and don't like but overall I like the direction I went in as far as the costume

Trying something new and pushing my creativity. I've been wanting to do more stylistic paintings so I'm going to work on pushing colors and ideas when I can.

I'm still on term 1, just adjusting picture color of the images provided using settings like HUE and color balance.

Finished!!! This is really different from anything I've done and I'm excited about it. I took some inspiration from Kyoukara with the colors and lines.
I have 3 other portraits like this planned so I can experiment more. Let me know what you think.

Looks awesome @lesleycarol, I esp like the earrings, you did a great job with the gold metal look, it’s very difficult to colour metal and it looks great!

Lovely work Lesley! I especially love the treatment of the hair. You can really feel the volumes! Fantastic job! I don;t know anything about colors but I really love your color choice as well!

Just a suggestion: maybe the mouth could be a little bit bigger.

I completed a couple of portraits in the past few weeks. I think this was the first time I fully rendered two people in the same picture

I know this is a bit late but the portraiture work is incredible, they have so much life to them! I agree with @Lockenheim, the rendering and expressions are great.
