Did this without a ref and tried coloring it from greyscale. Needless to say I've been using reference ever since I ended up getting a critique during the livestream to improve the anatomy. I did the next piece immediately after.

Cool work right there Lesley, I love the rendering ot the two eyes!
For portrait painting/drawing I really like Angel Ganev's youtube channel, he has a lot of resources about Anatomy, shading the head, etc. Maybe check him out

This is my first time hearing of him, I'll have to check him out. I think I've ironed out a lot of issues I had back when I made this but it doesn't hurt to check out more techniques!

2/2018 100 Head Diagram Challenge
I wasn't happy with the way I was doing the diagrams, so I drew 100 with only pen and then corrected them with red ink! The ones with a white background might be digital, can't remember...
