hello! my name is lily and im a 25 year old artist near the start of her journey. before this, ive taken a couple of figure drawing classes in person at my community college, as well as drawn and doodled for myself whenever i found the energy. i got the art school program to push myself to delve a little deeper and make a habit of creativity! i love the feeling of figuring something out, finally getting a shape just right, or finishing a drawing i didnt think i was capable of! ive already chipped away at the first couple of weeks to make sure i liked the program, so ill be starting at week 3 and trying to document as much of the process as possible. a big part of art for me is the social aspect! im so very excited to meet fellow artists and hear what you all think of my progress. with that in mind, please feel most welcome to offer criticism or to reach out to say hi! i promise i dont bite ^-^ here are a couple of my drawings to introduce myself!

I love the artwork you've shared in your post, that sleepy Glaceon is adorable and I absolutely love how clean and confident your linework is - you're definitely hitting ARTSchool with a running start, and I wish you the best of luck!

i wanna start off my little blog by introducing the most long running theme in my art journey, the struggle of trying to create and finish oc designs!!!!!!!! ive been trying to come up with a character to use as a persona for so long, i just havent quite found a design i really resonate with yet. definitely expect updates on this particular topic over time!

my main inspirations, themes, and design elements i have in mind are:

• shorter hair/ponytail
• fairies/pixies
• bells
• duality
• pointed ears
• the small chunky eyebrows (i think theyre so cute)
• green, so so much green
• prominent lashes
• symbols under the eyes!
• fluidity, in the sense of expression and identity!

my current goal is to find a better process for iterating on designs until i iron out the details so i can finally have a character to represent me! stay posted for updates on that among other projects i have in the works! ^-^

a little doodle for today since i cant really spend the day drawing otherwise! it sometimes feel frustrating at first, sitting down and knowing i dont have the time to tackle one of the bigger projects i want to work on, but its also freeing in a way that lets me feel more inclined to explore! trying to find a balance between exploration and refining/building skills is NOT as easy as it seemed.

havent been doing much personal work, this month is busy busy busy for me and my girlfriend, so ive instead decided to challenge myself to find ways to keep up with my art habit away from home! ive got a decent sketchbook and some various pencils and pens to try out for when we're gone, and ive also started challenging myself to get homework done earlier in the morning while my girlfriend works out so that when we have plans, i can more easily fit everything into the day. still an adjustment but im making progress! ill have more drawings to show soon, ive started drafting concepts for some new characters to take a break from creating a sona! im looking forward to sharing those ^-^

my tablets display suddenly broke! so ill be taking a break for the week while i wait for the new one to ship, im excited to have that new tool rush to accompany my drive to create right now!!!!
