So that being said, here are some of my homework things from the Nude Figure Drawing class and the Perspective class in Term 1 (and a bonus doodle):

And here are some older homework practice things from last month or so.

Hey there! Some really impressive progress, I haven't quite gotten to the perspective stuff yet, but it seems like you're killing it!

You clearly have much more patience than I do for drawing Cylinders... haha.

Hi hi! :] And thanks! I'm glad it looks like I have patience because it sure doesn't feel like it LOL

I feel like I still have a long way to go... but maybe we all feel like that haha XD

I assure you we all feel like it's a long and never ending way to go. But I can agree, you're definitely progressing! The line quality is getting better and I love the approach you did with anatomy cylinders. I can clearly tell that it's a sequential movement poses.

Awww thanks! :] And yeah, the struggle is so real OTL

And as for the anatomy cylinders, I was drawing off of a series of photo references from BodiesinMotion.photo haha XD But I'm glad the movement is clear! :]

Looks like you have a pretty firm grasp of perspective and form, I am looking forward to seeing how your progress through the work. Welcome. :+1:

Aw, thank you! :] Though I still struggle a lot with perspective... it's something I need a lot of practice in QuQ But thanks (again)!

if that is you struggling now at the beginning, your growth will come fast. those look good. the boxes, etc. and the human bodies.

A little update! Went on to Term 2 - Anatomy 1, and here are some of the practice sketches I did for the homework assignment! Gotta do more though Qu Q

Simple heads:

Ears:

Noses (still the most difficult part for me, outside of putting everything together OTL):

Eyes and lips (I really like drawing eyes ^^):

Putting everything together:

And as always, comments and critique are welcome! Please do critique me haha XD

Hi Lin those are some great studies. May I recommend you also draw some eyes, noses and lips from a reference? This may help solve the issue with giving the features volume in different angles. Always the tough part for artists - learn to draw what we see, not what we think is there.

Oooh, yeah, I definitely need to draw from references haha XD But I was just drawing different eyes, noses, and lips from what was in the lesson (they're not supposed to be the same sets/same ones)... unless you're referring to the stuff I drew when trying to put a whole head together... that, I definitely need a lot of work QuQ

Thanks for the tip though! The struggle is definitely real OTL

2 months later

Eep! Long time, no post DX Anyway, perspective really killed me... I really struggled with the stuff from Term 2 TT A TT... so I moved on to Term 3 (anatomy and clothing) anyway XD

Here's what I got:

I'm still working on understanding everything... for some reason, I can't wrap my head around back muscles OTL Anyway, as always, comments/critiques are more than welcome ^^
