@bennettdurfee thanks a lot. More will be coming. I still need to figure out the props, characters/race of people that live there and creature designs. Characters first, then I need to move on to the Sapphire Land where My last character comes from.

Good stuff! Liking the new map and character. Could be cool to carry the ruby shape into areas like the necklace or graphic on her belt

I like the idea, but, the reason I'm not sure about doing so is because the gems are embedded into the skin of each race of characters. These gems also allow each person born with them to use magic.
Maybe there are other crystals that people use as jewelry. I'll play with the idea and post them here later this week for more feedback. I'll try to work the idea in.

This looks really nice! Will you keep it kind of cartoony or will you render it more reallistically? I actually really like this simpler aesthetic right now.

I'm going for a stylized handpainted look similar to different anime's. I do like the simple look so far as well but there's still more work to do. So not too realistic. Will try to find a happy medium ground for something aesthetically pleasing for myself.
