An actual update for something lol I guess this is color number 6. I'll go with this an modify the design a bit more. I wanna add more yellows and a logo somewhere on here.
Also here some pose sketches showing her doing more than just standing there. Just a little something to show more movement. I like anime character design sheets that show some movement and expressions.

hi ... for ur colors, whats ur focal point? her face or the clothing? that should be the strongest, warmest color and everthing else need to be cooler palette to draw attention to that specific area ... I liked the red skin for example and would color her clothing blueish to grey/ black and or purple ... some dark elf theme could also be nice, also interesting for a backstory ... anyway really nice design

Thanks for the feedback . As far the focal point, it'll be the face. I noticed it wasn't as clear after I slept on it. Some more edits would be needed. I like dark elfs but I have that saved for another character. That's all I'll say for now.

Appreciate it. I always liked it when I saw other artist do it. It gives me a better understanding of what they might have been thinking. I hope my refs could do the same.

Totally! I can tell you have a really good structure for reference gathering. Are you writing a brief then gathering refs and assets before starting on a character design?

It depends. I'll write a brief for myself when I feel I need to organize the plan/idea better. If its simple or something i'm kinda comfortable with, I can search out refs first or draw something then get reference images(which I like more sometime as to not limit myself to early)
All these characters share a similar staring point of having to wear street clothing. Somewhat hiphop urban vibe. Being able to fight in these clothes is a plus. More on this with more characters. Probably other things I could go into, but, some are project specific and I don't wanna bore with an essay. Maybe a future video if I don't get lazy.
