Hi, my name is (masta) petz.

I followed marc's YouTube for a while, and finally decided also to get into the Art School. With the bonus of the last 2 months, I couldn't say no any more

Been drawing for a while, but always stopped because the feedback to my drawings never was encouraging. Now I am at a point I say to myself "I want to draw, I will learn to draw, Haters gonna hate" you know the rest of the song.

I want to get to a point I can do original avatars for vtubers, including animation, but for starters I need to know how to draw well enough.

I have been using CSP for a long while now, and finally decided to get a display tablet in 2023. While I can see improvement in my drawings, I lack, especially in faces. Which kinda is important for vtubers. Sure, hands are always an issue, but they don't need to be drawn to be animated for my usage.

I probably will skip things that I can't do in CSP, like the heal tools, and probably also some of the photo editing things for now.

I do have PS CS 2, but for some reason it just doesn't work like I expect it too

The start of a journey is always an adventure

My first tries on Assignment 1

Figuring out where the settings are for the pressure in CSP, and fitting the curve to how I need it to look like the examples given, was an unexpected path.

And 2

The Hue/Saturation/Luminosity thing was interesting, when working on it, I thought I am really close, upon closer inspection on a different screen the differences were a tad more obvious

I stopped at those that have that yellow strike through, doing the curves in CSP really made my brain itch and I needed to stop.

Day 2

Day 3

Improvement is visible. Although the proper pressure settings still puzzle me

Day 4

Day 5

fascinating to see how progress sometimes is obvious and sometimes appears to go back

Ellipses and circles really felt a bit worse than yesterday
