Eyo! Been looking for a place to get critiques and talk in a community and i've been using cubebrush for awhile now. SO HERE WE GO

Here's one of my most recent things i've done. Tried created a half god form for a character of mine that's all about controlling gravity and stuff. Totally way more to it but i'm sure it'll get annoying to read.

I've been doing less and less fanart which I think is a helpful habit for creativity, but man I loved Min Min from ARMS. Also the game is wicked fun so I was just super inspired to make something of her. I ended up working a lot more on it than I thought I would but I think it was good rendering practice. I could have done better on some parts but I was burning myself out on it in some points cause personally, I don't want to develop an overly rendered style. So I thought it best to move on.

BUT IDK, what do you guys think?

This is great! I really love how you rendered the contraptions(?) on her arms! There's a lot of nice simple detail - I really like it! And I totally get what you mean by keeping rendering simple/not over doing something - I think you've done a pretty good job of that!

One thing I could suggest would maybe identify a solid light source? It looks like you have a couple light sources that almost contradict one another in a few ways? There's just a few shadows on the clothes that I don't think quite work? I could be wrong tho! I'm no professional lmao

Yeah you're right lighting is something I really need to work on right now and picking an actual source is probably a good start lol. Thanks for pointing it out! My next thing here might be for that weekly lighting contest so hopefully it will be good practice!!

First light concept for a character of a game idea I had. It's not particularly refined in terms of rendering but I was wondering what people would think about the direction. The setting would be pretty futuristic which I haven't done much of before. Although this girl would be somewhat of a "hippy" or just an outdoorsy type.

omg i LOVE this concept! The colors flow really nicely and the outfit is super cute lol

U could probably push this silhouette even further if u felt like it! U could try something really exaggerated and stylized and I think it would work really well!

Thanks! But yeah that's a good idea, since she would be for a game I could definitely push some exaggerations!
