@queeniemp thank you 😊 Btw you are pretty good in your measurement exercise, do you have any tips maybe? 😅 Some sort of special technique or so 🤣

I wish I had a special technique but no what I do is I find the vertical length of the head and then use that to figure out where the important points are positioned like the elbows and knees. I then eyeball the size of the body parts and and other things like negative spaces while comparing it mentally to the ref. What I tend to do to keep the measurements more or less accurate is that I often slide it over to the ref to check especially after I draw something and it looks a bit off to me then I try to correct it (not on top of the ref). It's still kinda difficult for me though, each ref took me more than an hour to do and that's without trying to define the muscles and other details.
Honestly not sure if this'll help you it's kinda just how I do it and I think you're actually doing pretty good, you just need to pay a bit more attention to the placement of the body parts. It helps to look and compare the shapes of the negative spaces on the ref your drawing that's usually how I spot my mistakes.

Thank you 😊 yeah the shopkeeper is for a contest from Kickstarter campaign called „Nanolith"
… Actaully they just asked for a name and a few sentences about BG story, buuut whatever ✨😂

For the Character, do you have an idea how I can attach the sickle behind her back? A kind of quiver? On the jacket itself? Or is there maybe a more interesting variant? :}

Hmm Maybe she has some kind of strap like a guitar strap but a sickle strap lol.

or like if its more scifi there could be little glowing circles that levitate between her and the sickle

Made a super rough animation cuz im feeling a little lazy today (only took about an hr)

Also.... drawing a sickle in perspective is so hard lmao that curve is super hard to convey XDDDD kinda just gave up since im just trying to get the concept across lol

For the idea, what kinda tech does the lore support?
Primitive: shoulder strap made of twine
Modern: Magnetic attachment point
Magic: 1) similar levitation method that mitsuki mentioned or 2) you could do a secret inventory that the character pulls the scythe out of, like in the anime, Overlord.

Uuuh more great ideas +.+ thank you 🙏🏼 I've also thought about sth magnetic, but with plants instead of metal xD A secret inventory 🤔
Unfortunately I don't know Overlord, is it good? :}
Another idea could be a foldable sickle… I will try different solutions and see what fits the character, thank you both for your ideas again 😄
