Hello there!

I'm working on a picture with my first landscape. I think I have most of it right, but I still feel something wrong. I can't put my finger on it though. I'm pretty sure it has something to do about the composition.

The main focus should be the character and the sword beside him, and the second should be the tower-like figure in the landscape.

Here's where I am at right now:

I have been trying to fix this problem for a few weeks now and I just can't seem to be able to. Any help would be -very- appreciated.

Thank you!

Hey, this piece looks awesome so far! :sunglasses:

The foreground is amazing, but it doesn't capture my attention as it should. It personally feels as if the background is also fighting for attention. Maybe you could try move it further back it into the distance?

Awesome piece. Can't wait to see the final. Hope I made some sense. :grinning:

Have you tried using a composition grid to place visual elements onto focal points? I've found some benefit from that method.

It's been a while since I haven't worked on this piece, but here's an update! It changed quite a lot and I think it's doing better, but I'm still curious to know if something can/should be improved.

Thanks for the critiques so far guys, it helped me a bunch!
