Hi all!

I just finished this painting. It was one of those paintings where I spent way too long fine-tuning tiny details only to realize that there were a few major things that I should have corrected first. Anyway, I'm always looking to improve and I think this has come a long way from the last major painting I did. I would appreciate any feedback you could give.

Thank you!

Hey! I love her armor, It is very interesting to look at, solid design. I really struggle with painting metal. When i see her I am wondering what she is doing? maybe you could paint her right arm extended down as if she is bracing, or if she just had a "super hero landing". great work man!

Sorry for being so late just jumped back into the forums.

I think you are correct in your assessment. My suggestion is to try more airbrush first and if it doesn't need detail don't add it if it isn't part of your focal point.

Simplify your light sources to two at most, I think that is what you were going for but as a viewer I'm confused. Perhaps change your rim light color hue a bit. If you a have a rim light it still leaves plenty of room for bounce light to add surface detail.

Keep female faces smooth and the viewer will enjoy it more.

Last thing I'll say is the orange in the background is no where else in the character incorporate that color into the character to make your pieces seem more part of the environment.

Keep it up  Dont be afraid to fix big things even at this stage. It will get easier.

You did great!
Maybe next time add more shadows on one side of the hair where light doesn't touch? Keep up the great work!

Hey, thanks for your feedback! I tried to incorporate some orange reflections in the armor but you're right, I could definately add more.
