Hi there! My name is Nick and I hail all the way from Sydney Australia. Love the community that is happening and looking forward to chatting with you all. And as always would love to hear any critiques on my work. Look forward to learning stacks from you guys. In the meantime here is some Inktober stuff I got inspiried to do while watching Hunt for the Wilder people

A quick doodle using the IPAD pro and procreate

That black and white doodle looks really good.
A couple of thins from the samurai lady, her anatomy seem to be off. Especially the left arm seems to be in a very awkward position. Also, if you want, you could take more reference from samurai armour. Those are usually very detailed pieces of art themselves.
Anyway, hope this helps

If you want to improve faster i would suggest you to start doing studies. It can be anything like figure drawing, anatomy studies, portraits, still lives, master copies, understanding how light and color works etc. Focusing on fundementals and applying them in your own paintings is i think the best way to go imo. To not get overloaded with all the stuff you can also try to analyse your last work, figure out what bothers you the most, study that for a bit and do another imagination work. Anyway best of luck!

Good work! The one thing'd say about that last piece is to be a bit careful with hatching. It can very easily flatten forms. It can be really powerful at selling forms but maybe find some other artists who work similarly and see how they handle hatching over round forms like neck and traps.

Yeah inking is one of the areas I'm not great at hence why I'm practicing my inking for Inktober! haha

Yeah yeah good point. I was looking a lot of Jim Lee and Joe Mad's stuff and they ink with soooo much detail it's insane!

My take on Princess bubblegum. Still trying to wrap my head around faces and heads before I travel further down the body. There are so many features to remember! haha

Marceline again. Tried pushing my material reads a bit more especially on the denim. Pretty fun!
