Hey agentnerobe122
no my friend you are not going crazy. There's just a misinterpretation of the form of the nose. The ball of the nose (the lower red thing) ends lower than the wings. Take a look here:

As you can see the wings end a bit higher than the ball of the nose, so it is not a rectangle. Don't worry, noses are a tough subject to tackle. I would recommend to avoid drawing attractive people when you do studies because they have slight beautifications through nature (or photoshop) that are ultimately misleading regarding average anatomy. For example the lady that you chose

has a really small and rapidly receding keystone, thin wings (a rarity) and the ball of the nose is so subtle on the lower side, it practically looks as if its bottom is aligned with the bottom of the wings. Pretty hardcore subject if you ask me
My advice is this: draw a grandpa once in a while and your knowledge of anatomy will skyrocket.
Keep drawing!

I took your advice in making sure the the nose ends a little after the wings. I think that really helped, also just drawing older people seems super helpful. I also made sure to show the bottom part of the Greater Alar Cartilage and how it pulls back into the face.
