Hi, happy new year everybody, here's a quick update from me, finished the photoshop assignments and did some gestures, i'm really struggling with gesture for some reason, perhaps i'm overthinking?, anyway here it is.

I did two versions of this assignment, the last one with the feedback from my girlfriend, but i still liked the first version so i will be posting it too.

and, last but not least, the good ol challenge, almost finishing it, and i saw on marc's latest video that he will be posting weekly assignments for the people of the program, awesome stuff ahead

I love your perspective studies (and I agree with your girlfriend, I like version 2. Also, your drawing was so realistic it made me look it up for reals ) Btw, how do you accomplish such smooth lines in your perspective studies? Take the house you drew for example. There are not jittery lines. Is this a result of practice or do you use a tool?

Thanks, i'm happy you liked then, the lines thing, i sometimes use the shift to do straight lines, especially in the beginning of the drawing, but i'm not a huge fan of how they look so most of the time i free hand it or drawn over then later.
I usually try to do a single stroke using my entire arm, i think the trick is in the speed of the stroke, not super fast but also not so slow that you start to shake, oh and my good friend ctrl+z, i used to use him a lot but with practice i use him less and less.
I also think about the weight of the lines, like what i want to draw more atencion i do it thicker and, sometimes, i go over the drawing and also thicker the edges of some things that i think (Emphasis on the "i think") will look pretty, that's about it really.

i've returned from the dead, with the full intent to share my stuff, i was on a vacation so for the past two weeks i haven't done basically anything, but i have a gesture from the past and one from today, the challenge that i had done and a doodle from the basic structure of the head that i did when i watched the class about it, i probably should watch it again, dont remenber anything about it XD
So here it is.

Nice! I always love how you handle line weight and minimal shading suggestion in you drawings. Very simple, clean, clear and effective

Them gesture drawings never cease to impress me. I have to figure out how to get rid of my habit of drawing contour lines (b/c that's what I feel I am doing wrong whenever I look at your gesture drawings). Imma keep taking notes - don't mind me

Hi, here is the update from the past days, wish i could have done more gestures but the challenge is taking all my time, thankfully is almost over.
I've done a couple of gestures, some doodles of the ear (such a strange looking thing a ear is), the challenge and some noses, got a bit carried away on the nose.

In the first row i set a two minute timer, but i really wanted do something preatier, so i kept going even after the timer, probably took 3 or 4 min each. On the second row just did the the regular 30 sec.

Some ears, reeeeally strange looking things.

Noses, later i will come back and do then in marc's way, but i really didn't wanted do the square looking nose today.

Good ol Photoshop, that's one of the reasons i wouldn't change it for another software, the other reason is that i'm to lazy to learn a new one XD
