If you want to bring that dappled sunlight to the next level, try boosting the saturation of the material at light --> shadow hard transitions, on the shadow side.

Typically, the light going through skin shifts to a bright saturated orange/red when strong light is applied (subsurface scattering effect). How much or how little you want to push it is up to you, but I could definitely see the spot around her cheek, nose, mouth and hair benefitting from this pop of color.

I will probably tweaks some details after getting some sleep but it is mostly done, pretty happy with the outcome!

this looks so great, I like the cyan hair. the only thing I might consider adjusting (personally) is the height of the glasses on the nose. Just seems too low for me.

Thank you very much! Glasses were one big compromise, I didn't want to make her wear them typically to not look too formal cause she is nerdy-playful type like Futaba from Persona I have put them a bit higher in the beginning, something like this:

but it was covering eyes and it was stealing attention from her look so this was some compromise I needed to go and lower them more, checked some photos and this is not that rare as I have thought to find photos with this glasses position

Haha, she researches marine life so I wanted to give her something marine in the design, I was thinking about tentacles but medusa is a very cool association as well, thank you!

I can see why. it would have been covering the eyes, which look really good. the glasses don't look weird but as somebody that wears glasses I find myself blind if they fall that low.

It reminds me a very loved character I had in an English text-book back in Elementary, Aunt Ellie (but she was like fifty and with gray hair). Very similar, even in the hairstyle. Nice memories. ^^
