It's been a while since I posted. To be honest, I procrastinated on the Zbrush content because all the tools were very daunting. However, after following Marc's barrel tutorial, I feel a bit more comfortable with it. Seeing the lighting render was very satisfying.

Here is an ogre I created an Zbrush. This assignment really forced me to relearn the face anatomy. But sculpting it was pretty fun.

More arms and legs! But on a skeleton.

I use a physical stick figure to inspire me for these poses. The top row features normal proportions. The bottom row features more imaginative proportions. Though, I drew on the wrong layer for the bottom portions, so I just left my under-sketch. I don't if it's just me, but I started looking at my anatomy references less and less the more I drew these poses.

Here are some lighting exercises. I think I got a headache when I was drawing more complex shapes. Once I started breaking those shapes down into smaller and simpler shapes to pinpoint my shadows, it got easier.

Here are the colored versions of my drawing. I used that Adobe color program to use some basic color combinations. For this character, I imagined her to be a show-off and haughty, so I tried to use bolder colors.
If anyone has time to give their thoughts and feedback on which one has the more appealing color schemes and why, I would appreciate that. Please and thank you.

i think 5 might be the best one but what if you tried switching the green and purple so that her vest is purple and inner clothes are green?

I feel like the gloves would look better if they were green and the shoes too for some alternations so that its not all one color unless thats what ur going for

Thank you for your feedback I'll try to apply your comments and see what it looks like once I get some time to come back to it. Regarding the shoes, I left it as only one color for now since I didn't want get too bogged down in the details yet when I was iterating different color schemes. But I agree that they could use some more color.

Here are some of my revisions. 3 and 5 seemed to be the winners based on what some friends told me. I had a comment to break up the purple on 5, so I did that for the purple 6 (formerly 5). Also, Per mitsuki-youko's suggestion, I inverted the color scheme for 5, which is now 7. I also added some other colors in the jackets, pants, shoes, etc.

I'm probably going to spend some time on animal/creature drawing for a while, since I am unfamiliar with animals. However, I do want to share the cel-shaded version of a drawing I did based on Marc's YouTube ArtSchool Cel Shading tutorial. It was quite fun. I left the highlights out of the hair though because they looked kind of weird on her. Maybe it's the hat?
