Hello everyone! I finished the figured I started a few days ago.
Thank you @Araita for your feedback! I went back and fixed the arm and knee.
Also I did some changes to the hands and finished the feet.

Also I tried to shade it. I could not make it work. I feel like the more details I try to add the worse it looks. So I went back and removed many details to try to make it look better and this is how it turned out.

Shading is tough but slow improvement is better than none.

Hell yeah, good stuff, i fear the day i reach this term lol color and light is something i know nothing about.

Thank you @Pattu_w for liking it. I actually didn't like this one so you gave me a much needed boost in confidence.
About light and color I don't know much either. I just use multiply layer for shading and experimenting with some extra colors like blush on the cheeks.

Hello everyone! I finished shading my last exercise.
First time trying to shade anatomy. I just did her back this time. Tried to do the arms as well but they didn’t turn out good so I just did simpler shading for them.
About the folds in the clothes are not as good as I hoped. I may try to fix them but I run out of time today.

Hello everyone! I’ve been touching way too much grass this week so I didn’t do much work. But I finished the sketch for the next exercise.

Choose this one because the fold on the clothes looked simple.
Also tried to make the sketch a bit more detailed this time since I always have to make adjustments to my lineart and it makes it look messy.
Will continue this next week!

Hello everyone! I finished my exercise from last week.


Apart from her face I like how this turned out. She looks sad but I wanted her to look serious.
I think using the smudge brush for the soft edges makes them really muddy.
I want to try using soft brushes but I think it will make it harder to plan out where the shadows are. So I haven’t done that yet.

I like how you shaded skin this reddish tint really changes a lot
I use small blur brush for softening edges.
You can try using soft brushes with lasso tool to have some hard edges too; for me it is easier to go with hard ones and soften it later

Thank you @patrycja.lerch! I learned about the red tint from Marc's video about painting skin. He says to add a bit of red to the terminator of the shadows. I wanted to add it to a bit more places like her cheeks but I couldn't make it look right.
About the edges this is how I am doing it as well and I prefer that way because it is easier to plan. I will have to think about how to improve it.

Hello everyone! This time I tried dressing up a model.
This was way harder than I thought. At first I tried to do it from imagination but it was impossible so I used some reference.
First the tension points. I am not sure that these are correct I may have missed some

And the final attempts.

For the shirt I took some photos of myself doing the same pose. But every time I did the pose different folds appeared so I wasn’t sure what to draw.
I used the reference for the pants. The pose wasn’t exactly the same so I tried to adjust it a bit.
From what I understand the shape of the folds is what is important in order to look nice. Will try to do more of these.

Hello everyone! I did one more clothes on a model. This time from imagination.

This was was hard. I tried to focus on the shapes on the folds again. Not too successful again but I hope it’s a bit better 😅
I also did a very quick portrait.

This was very quick and it was the first time I sketched loosely and didn’t do much construction.

Portrait looks pretty nice. The only thing I see is that the distance between chin and neck should be almost the same as neck is wide

Hello everyone! Today I tried another copy today. Not much in the mood for studies so I am just drawing things for fun.
But first thank you @patrycja.lerch for your feedback! Something was off and I couldn’t tell why. Also the way you explained it was really easy to remember for the future!
I tried to copy this girl. She was pretty cute and I wanted to try to stylise a bit.

I didn’t like my Lineart here so I wanted to try again. I tried it in a different program this time. I used Artstudio pro for the first time for this. I liked it but while it has some features that Procreate doesn’t have it is missing others so I am not sure what I will end up using.

I really paid attention to the line width of the original this time and while not perfect I am happy with the result.

Hello everyone! Sorry for the long delay between posts. Work has been pretty busy so I haven’t been able to draw much.
I tried to draw my character for a new DnD campaign I will be playing. He is a fairy artificer with mechanical wings. First time designing a character and it was much harder than I thought. I didn’t have an idea in my mind so I tried many different things until I liked something.
This is his equipment.

At first I tried to do a full body drawing but I had so much trouble with the legs for some reason and I decided to draw only the torso.
Generally not too happy with it. I might try to redraw it with some more details.

Hey everyone! Did some clothing exercise again. It was getting a bit frustrating that after all this time I still don’t get how clothes work, so I tried a bit of a different approach. I noticed that my drawings are stiff and I wanted to be more fluid. So I tried to paint very loosely this time so the result is more messy than usual.

I had a lot of fun with this one.

I have seen somewhere that folds are actually X, Y, Z shaped. It changed a lot when I noticed it myself. Seeing how other artists simplify folds is also helpful. I observe people a lot, I will just sit somewhere and observe how clothes behave

If you are getting frustrated you can either push it harder or take a break and do something else. Just don't over do it. Studying all the time is tiring and not healthy. Remember to draw something just for fun and you can always apply gained knowledge to your personal stuff.

Hello everyone! Back again with anther exercise.
Thank you @patrycja.lerch for your help. I will probably take a break from clothes for now since I am pretty frustrated at my lack of progress. I want to go back and do some portraits and some figure drawing. Maybe I will try the next term and study the arms and legs.
This time though I did something similar to my last post

To tell you the truth this was ready for a few days, but I was looking at it and try to improve it but it didn’t change much.
I got frustrated that I couldn’t get it to look cleaner to the point that I didn’t draw much this week. Not ready to quit though! I will just have to try harder 💪

This sweatshirt looks really nice! Break is a good idea and after studying arms and legs folds might be easier to do

These are the figures I was working these last few days.

I spent about an hour for each of those. They fun to draw. The bottom left was especially hard and I spent a lot more time on it than the others.

Hey everyone, I did some studied another artist this time.
This is an image from kmpym

The left one is my first attempt and the other is a more cleaned up version.
I tried to experiment with the line weight for this. I started with thick lines and used the eraser to make the, thinner where I wanted.
Not that happy with the face or the hair, but I run out of patience so I couldn’t polish it any more.
