Hello everyone!

My name is Priyank and I am very, verrrry fresh in my art journey. Growing up, I always saw the drawings/paintings that my sister made, looked down at the stick figures I just drew, and felt like I couldn't ever get to that level. It wasn't until recently, when I was urged by a friend, that I try to get into drawing.

I started out by drawing the hashiras from Demon Slayer on a sketch pad. Already a huge anime fan, and seeing the improvement, I finally felt like I discovered what I'd love to do with art.

I want to create a webtoon.

And even though I've started drawing some of my characters, I realized that I need to learn so much more if I want my webtoon to become a reality. And that is my goal with art school; I want to feel confident going into every chapter that I end up drawing so that I don't ever let my dream die out.

Super excited to start this journey!

Here are drawings of two of the characters I have made so far. As I mentioned, I am quite new, but do want to learn and improve, so please feel free to roast them

Love the drawings, you look like you’re starting off from a really good place art wise awesome work!

Just a couple things I noticed with the girl picture. She looks great by the way love the colours. With the eye, it looks good however when you look at it the eye is in more of a front view angle, it doesn’t match the angle of the face. As the head turns the size of the eyes length shortens. Also the roundness of the head flattens out in your image, Remember the hair mimics the shape of the head, so if the head is round so does the hair on top. See image below. Besides this it looks awesome, keep it up!.

Just a quick update! Haven't had much time last month to practice, but I've been getting back into the swing of things. Just finished Term 1. Here is some of my progress on understanding human proportions, using cylinders to show limbs in 3D, and some gesture drawing work.

I think my biggest thing right now is getting better at gesture drawing. Even with 1 minute intervals, I'm struggling to add volume and end up making the figure look completely confusing to look at.

I also finished another character profile! Any advice and critique is welcome!

Another update! Just a sample of some gesture drawings at 2 minutes. I feel like i could do a lot better, but i feel like im making good progress
