Hello, I'm Puri-baachan.
I've been drawing on and off for many years, sometimes stopping a few years due to lack of motivation.
I recently joined ArtSchool after following Marc on youtube for quite some time. I think the community aspect is what I was lacking the most in my previous attempts.
I will try to draw most days, but won't pressure myself too much if I am too tired or don't have time...
So here is the beginning of the exercises. I chose to begin with figure drawing because first that's what I enjoy the most, but also next week I will be on vacation, so no digital drawing almost all week.
(I hope the pictures are not too big)
So I gradually went from drawing on the ref to drawing beside it, with less and less "help".
Then I used one of the poses to do a sketch of one of my characters.
I forgot that I should take a higher resolution ref, so I had to draw the face the size of my thumb
I am wondering if it is important to put the cylinders in the correct size and position ?
While doing this sketch, I realized I paid attention to the skeleton and checked it against the ref, but for the cylinders I only worried about the perspective and vaguely the width of the limb.
Thanks for reading, see you next time
