went back to reference studying skin on muscles to build up my visual library more. Honestly having a harder time drawing from imagination; It's like I can picture my result in my brain, but when I put it on paper it looks different

I'm a bit bias here, maybe I just prefer thick legs, anyway for the "unsolicited" comment,
I see some few errors (i.e., some calves and feet, arm length, upper body a bit too big making your head seem small) but maybe you prefer to draw them that way, idk.
The perspective are amazing, no doubt on that.

I did notice that the rib cage, notably in the first couple ones I did, were too big compared to the head. but then again when I noticed, it was too late to change bc I was doing it in pen lol. I should study the ref figures I used again, to make sure I got the proportions right. Thanks.

Have I ever mentioned that my dream was to be a webtoon/comic artist? If yes, aish, sorry for the repetitiveness ;-; I just love the idea of putting storytelling and art together

I tried working on a scene that I would imagine putting in a chapter. The character is set in a retro, hong kong style, martial world. Still a wip, let me know what you think!

I thought to share a more intensive, anatomy study I did today. Thought it would be nice to process what I did in steps.

My goal for this study was to memorize male anatomy on skin without counting on a photo reference. I took 4 steps:

1) I drew some rough, geometric-ish proportions of the human male and female body
2) I started to draw the body with skin counting on my memory (I occasionally peeked at a few anatomy refs tho ). Then I marked the areas where I got wrong, indicating what I should change and tryed to understand what muscle part I wasn't clear about.
3) I then did a drawing off a reference photo to build up my visual library and understand what a real dude looked like
4) Lastly, I did the last body 99% from memory, and then corrected the 1-2 mistakes I made.

still not perfect, but better YAY

hey guys I realized I've gone through pretty much 6 months of studying and applying anatomy (march-aug) and recently complied a review of my progress on anatomy into a youtube video! Just want to share if anyone here is interested

finished (?) the lineart for a draw this in your style challenge! took me more than a day to finish ;-; Going to try to color and render it tomorrow!
I feel like the cat in the front might be too big, if anyone has any thoughts on that, please lmk!

nice sketches over all, but the ones in perspective aren't quite wright proportionwise ... try to do some foreshortening studies as well and u level up quickly ... by the way I love those kitties, there so cute ( I really really really love cats) ... keep up the good work

listened to a portion of Brunet's color and light 2 session and tried to apply some points I learned from him. The concept of keeping the background colors cooler than the front to create a better sense of depth was such a cool thing to learn!

I somewhat approached coloring and lining this piece as if it were a panel in a webtoon to prep for my future visual story. I'm not satisfied with the result, so I'm probably going to keep trying to find my style through other piece(s). (ง •_•)ง

haha yeah I was struggling to come up with reasons why she till has a pipe in her mouth while holding an egg; they looked cool so I just kept them there

The latest illustration here is another character for a draw-this-in-your style challenge. As for the one with the egg and pipe, she is an MC in a story, although I think it will be quite a long time before I get to draw and publish it : )
She is basically a strong female MC with a complicated past, and something happens that makes her begin to stand up against toxic martial art groups that are exploiting the common people.
