From term 1. I like to draw the proportion chart on the side now every time I do full body stuff. Also I have something that may help with this exercise for those that are super focused on drawing what they believe to be true and take too much time. The technique is from a book by Betty Edwards titled “Drawing with the right side of the brain”. Essentially the technique I’m referring to, is to draw the image how Marc explains, but just turning the image upside down. It makes you stop thinking about analytical things like “What is a hand and how is it supposed to look?”. And instead to a more creative way like “This line looks like this, and the negative space looks like this, and this looks like this” and so on. Which I think greatly increases speed and efficiency. I personally do this exercise using both ways, as both might have different values. If you’re more interested there are a few videos on drawing with the right side of the brain, and I highly recommend them. Just search “drawing on the right side of the brain” on youtube and look for a video titled “the drawing exercise that changed my life” by Drawing & Painting - The Virtual Instructor.
