Character Head Study.
So apparently I'm fully focusing on the Head Study Assignment and putting the entire focus on it, because if I'm beeing honest I really enjoy this exercise a lot, therefor I decided to skip yesterday's and today's daily assignment. Sorry for my inconsistency, I'll do it better next week, so here are the 7th and 8th Head Study of the Assignment.

FINAL DAY
I'm finished with week 2 of Second Term and I have to say that it was really enjoyable, the fact that I managed to understand how the human head is built from another method it's really amazing therefor from now on I'll build my heads this way.

For this last Study I went crazy and combined two images for the final result and I loved it, it really paid off runing the risk.

From 2 minutes to 10 it really is more my type of time beause I get to see and observe more and also get more detail on the gesture.

Facial Features and Head Practices

I don't know why, but I feel that it's a lot harder to draw the different facial features by their own, but so far I liked drawing the mouth.

Yea, drawing features in a vacum can be harder. I remember what I did for these was to have a standard head structure like the one you have there, and just draw in the different parts from the different angles.

Overall it seems you got a good grip on them.

10 Minute Gesture Drawing
Let's change a bit and do some male gesture drawing because so far I've done female gesture only, so here is my attempt at it.

Apparently I got the same model every time, it was kind of funy if I say so myself.

It was turm for me to do the ears and the nose, some of them might look weird because I think it's missing the rest of the features to be legible or it's just my paranoia xD.

Portrait Study.
For this study I don't know why but I felt doing this exercise a bit easy and I think it has to be the fact that i'm getting used to see the head shapes and if that is the case I'm proud of it .

I had a more finished portrait but my Photoshop file got corrupted and this is what i managged to save.

10 Minute Gesture Drawing
Sometimes I feel like on some days gesture drawing is harder and some of them are easy, today was one of those days that were harder to draw gesture drawing.

I'm getting the hang of it now, I really like drawing the eyes and the mouth but I know that I have to practice all features to make something I like and not just those features.

Ok, so for this day I started with the head construction for all 5 studies I had to do for one of the weekly assignments and here they are.

This daily assignment was devided in two parts, the head contruction and the facial features, but the facial features are separated for the weekly assignment.

Character Head From Imagination. (Work in Progress)
In this assignment as I previously said I'll add the facial features to some of the faces.

So far I made just 3 faces and one that it I almost finished sketching and I got to say that I cheated a bit by looking up the makeup for the Kyoshi warior, but the faces are out of my head and imagination

Good job all around! Did a few notes as a form of feedback, some of these are usually easy to notice when you "flip" the canvas, which allows our eyes to quickly detect proportions or forms that might seem ok from the other side.

The head tilted didn't seem to follow the spine, so just moved it a bit. The head doesn't really rotate that much on it's base (it does, but just a bit), it's usually more like a "flexible tube" that moves the head to the right or the left, which is why we can rest our ears on our shoulders. Probably should have lowered it a bit as well. It's easier to notice on how much of the Sternocleidomastoid is exposed. To be fair, you get into anatomy until term 3.

The nose on the 3/4 one seems a bit higher. Easier to notice when flipped.

Keep it up man, it's all good progress.

Today I went full on this assignment because I really like how is turning out.

The head tilted didn't seem to follow the spine, so just moved it a bit. I did all of this before I read the feedback you game me, but no worries I'll fix the observations you pointed out tomorrow, but I dont know if it looks better or worse despite not knowing the feedback.

Oh don't worry too much about corrections to current works! Sometimes we can, but most of the times we take the feedback and keep it in mind for the next piece or exercices. I think the exercices look good, especially since it's from imagination.

Polished the three faces that I liked the most, also did som of the corrections previously given by @daceronine, (I know you said that I didn't need to correct them and remember it for future studies what I have to do, but once I notice the mistake I can't help but to fix it), so here they are.

10 Minute Gesture Drawing
I have to admit that I'm getting a bit lazy to do the daily assignments such as gesture drawing or other daily in general, and I hate that about me (I've always been a lazy with some things in my life), so I have work to do.

Final exercise of 10 minute gesture.

I actually felt very similarly the more I did gestures, especially when I compared it against what others in the forums did. I couldn't help feel they had a much better grasp at it.

So I started emulating others in the forums, asking what their process looked like to imitate them, and eventually changed the approach to gestures to make it more fun for myself. I think I changed processes like 2 or 3 times.

Not necessarily something to do, sometimes we're just not in the mood and that's fine as well.

Gestures look good btw, you can really tell the action of the pose at a single glance.

Do watch out for pointy chins unless you are going to specific stylizations such as manga/anime style

Day 1
Today I just spent the entire day analyzing and taking notes on the perspective class for this week, tomorrow I'll start the Daily and Weekly Assignments knowing that probably the Perspective Assignment is going to be the most time consumimg of all 3 assignments, so wish me luck and I'll be seeing you tomorrow.

This is a bit more complicated than thought it would be, especially with the shading part but also I thing there is something odd about how it's turning out so far.

I'm really feeling the flow of this perspective assignment, regardless the time that I haven't done any perspective exercise in a long time.

Did a few corrections to the head on areas that stood out to me a bit. I also squashed it a bit as I felt it was a bit too long up.

It's mostly keeping in mind the volume of some face parts.

Good job overall man, there is clear effort and care in the lines and work!
