I'd bring the eyebrows down a bit to capture the expression more and slant the eyes down a little more on the top, but other than that this looks solid.

Like I said yesterday I started to work on my free hand portrait
So far I only did some basic line art Tomorrow I will shade it

I have 1 question is it ok to put your drawing over the ref to check for mistakes? but not actually trace? Because that's what I was doing.
I check for mistakes and then I fix them BUT is it a good way to learn? Or should I just draw beside the ref and check for mistakes only at the end?

PS: the lines are rushed sorry for that If I have time tomorrow I will fix the line quality

I'd say it's better to check at the end and then correct. If you want to create your own faces/heads in the long run, it's good to get used to drawing the whole thing without relying on overlapping since you won't always have a 1 to 1 reference.

Hello how u guys doin? I fixed the line art a bit and I shaded it with hard brush

I think you did a good job placing the facial features in the right spot and getting the major forms right. I didn't make any changes, but try to look close at these areas to spot any differences.
For the forehead, the highlight has more of a V-shape and the hair comes down a little more.
The nose is a little darker at the bottom and the hair should be the same for the top and bottom part.

Also, I need to say something about the perspective 2 class. And it that I'm probably not gonna do it now since I have already spent about 3-4 months on drawabox and I have a good understanding of 3 point perspective and I dont want to draw in 4 or 5 point perspective obviously I have watched the whole class.

My short-term goal is to be able to draw characters from reference that's why for now I will focus on portrait studies and later on when I feel like I know what I'm doing I will move onto anatomy 2 and clothed figure drawing.

My second question is If I should do ZBrush classes now or a bit later? Will 3D help me in any way to draw characters? (I will do the class either way I just want to know if its worth it to do it now or later when I know the whole anatomy of people)
